A highly flexible working environment
Simplifying everyday work for users
The new iF Design Award-winning LHStation makes machine control simple and intuitive. "Keep it simple" as a design directive is evident at first glance through the reduction of physical controls. A mobile, integrable handheld offers the operator freedom of movement and thus maximum operator ergonomics. All in all, the combination of an enlarged screen ("everything at a glance"), critical selection of operating elements and a mobile handheld guarantees a completely new user experience.
User tests and ergonomics studies based on low-complexity foam models are effective tools for validating design concepts. In the development of the LH Station, they were instrumental to the project's success, because with each iteration we took large steps toward meeting the needs of the users.
Since the user has to move around the machine while working, the control unit should follow the user and not vice versa. A user-specific screen display allows the user to monitor all essential machine functions in combination with a clear screen layout.
The fixed panel has a large 24-inch screen for programming and process monitoring. For fast data entry, the panel has a numeric keypad that also allows working with gloves. The panel features standard RFID-based user identification for selecting the work mode and can be equipped with up to eight freely configurable keys or key switches.
